Common Sound Studio- continued In the back is the main music rack which sits on a furniture dolly so it can be rolled around easily. A Yamaha 03D mixer sits on top. A MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV interface, MOTU 2408 mk2 audio interface and patch bay are in the rack. Everything of consequence is wired into the patchbay and can either route through the 03D into the 2408 or go direct into the 2408 depending on what is needed. The rack has a Mac G4 w/Marathon rack handles, assorted firewire and USB drives, ethernet & USB hubs. Common Sound uses Mark Of The Unicorn's Digital Performer & Unisyn, Propellerheads Reason & ReCycle, Native Instruments B4, Waves Restoration, Antares Auto-Tune & Mic Mod, and Cycling '74 Pluggo. There is a Tannoy TS8 Subwoofer under the window next to the rack. A framed note from Peter Gabriel that Jim got on a flight from London to Atlanta is directly behind the rack. The note says "This hello comes to you from above the clouds - above Ireland. All the best, Peter Gabriel" Jim's performance ig sits next to the subwoofer and consists of a Sequentix P3 sequencer, Novation Nova synth, Korg ER-1 drum machine, Novation ReMOTE25 keyboard, Emu Morpheus rack synth (not shown), Lexicon Jamman echo, and Rolls headphone distribution box. Two other key attributes of the studio are the windows along the back wall looking out onto a large green space and 4 acre organic garden. Below, you get more views of the Sequentix P3, Novation ReMote 25, Yamaha CS-50, and more RIAA awards (Survivor, Aldo Nova, Michael Jackson), and his autographed Bruce Springsteen photo. The PAIA Programable Drum Set was built from a kit in the early '80s, but unfortunately no longer works. Makes a great wall hanging though. Common Sound Studio Partial Specifications: Monitoring:
